# Overview **AthleteHero is a Web3 fitness platform and NFT collection with GameFi elements that reward and inspire you to get fit.** **AthleteHero** is the first project on the Ethereum blockchain to provide a functional move-to-earn concept. Additionally, **AthleteHero** is the first (of any blockchain) to provide crypto rewards and NFTs for finishing running and endurance races. Users join by purchasing an NFT, which grants them access to the fitness platform. Users can track running, walking, and other various activities to earn game currency inside the fitness platform. That currency can then be used inside the in-game marketplace or cached out for profit. Therefore, the content in this Whitepaper may change in the future. {% endhint %} # Am I an Athlete? **Yes, you are an athlete.** As the famous coach Bill Bowerman (founder of Nike) said; "If you have a body, you are an athlete.” We at AthleteHero believe that **everyone is an athlete** and that everyone has the ability to get fit and participate in physical activities. # NFT The AthleteHero NFT is an **animated 3D NFT** representation of a futuristic shoe. There are **10,000** unique NFTs in the genesis collection. Each NFT has unique traits that no other NFT has. ### Traits Traits include (and are not limited to): * Body color and/or patterns * Tread color * Logo and trim accent colors * Tongue style * Laces color * and more... Rarity is established by a limited representation of certain traits within the collection. ### Utility NFT holders will have exclusive utility granted to them for holding the NFT. * Access to the fitness platform * Exclusive fitness training plans * Ability to claim crypto earned in-game (fitness platform) * Metaverse wearable version of their NFT shoe * Exclusive community There is a 5% royalty fee on all secondary sales. This fee is used to cover costs for operating the fitness platform, staff, and to manufacture and provide services and goods inside the marketplace. # Fitness Platform The AthleteHero fitness platform is a **Web3 aDpp** that allows users to record and track their training and provides training plans and coaching. ### User Access The fitness platform is accessible via a **web browser** and a **mobile app**. Web browser accessible from the AthleteHero main website. The mobile app is downloadable from the Apple App Store (\*to be released soon). To gain access, a **user must currently hold** one or more AthleteHero NFT. ### Partners & Integration The fitness platform integrates with or is in the process of integrating with many of the most **popular fitness devices**. This integration allows fitness activities tracked by those devices to be imported into the AthleteHero fitness platform. As well as nutritional plans from doctors and professionals. # Rewards ### Fitness Platform The **AthleteHero** fitness platform rewards users for performing fitness activities and improving their fitness. Rewards are provided in the form of in-game currency (crypto). A breakdown of rewards can be found in the [Tokenomics section](/tokenomics) of this whitepaper. ### Running & Endurance Races The **AthleteHero** running and endurance race platform rewards participants with NFTs and in-game currency (crypto). Finishers will receive an NFT medal or ribbon for participating in the race. For some races, winners will receive a special NFT for their placement/ranking in the race. # Tokenomics The **AthleteHero** fitness platform rewards users for performing fitness activities and improving their fitness. Rewards are provided in the form of in-game currency (crypto) called **Fit Coin** (FIT). ### Supply **FIT** has an unlimited supply and is earned when a user records fitness activities inside the AthleteHero fitness platform. To provide initial liquidity, 26,000,000 FIT were created. ### Earning **FIT** tokens are earned in-game for performing specific fitness activities. Users track and record their activities using the **AthleteHero** fitness platform. Tokens earned can be claimed at any time from within the fitness platform or directly through the token Smart Contract as long as the user currently holds an AthleteHero NFT. The maximum daily tokens a user can earn is 14 tokens for activities tracked with a device. ### Burning **FIT** tokens are burned when exchanged in the marketplace. Burning tokens provide a way to limit the total supply. # Marketplace The AthleteHero marketplace is where goods and services can be bought for **FIT** tokens. The marketplace only accepts **FIT** coins. An AthleteHero NFT is required to make purchases within the marketplace. ### Items Marketplace items include both physical goods and services. Some items will have a limited quantity available and sold as "first come, first serve." Several goods and services from our corporate family (RacerSignUp Inc. and LogThatRun.com) will also be sold within the marketplace. An example of some of the types of goods and services to be available in the marketplace are: * Athletic clothing * Athletic gear * Training plans * Coaching * Race registration ### Operational Costs The costs for manufacturing and providing the services and goods are funded through secondary sales of the NFT, future collections, and income from the existing corporate family of companies **Racer SignUp Inc.** and **LogThatRun.com**. ### Burning When an item is exchanged for **FIT** coin within the marketplace, the tokens paid are burned off. Burning lowers the supply of tokens, thus increasing their rarity and value. # Partners & Integrations **AthleteHero** has several strategic partners and technology integrations. These partnerships and integrations allow users to share data from a fitness device into the **AthleteHero** fitness platform. In addition, users can get training and workouts imported into their Garmin device directly from the **AthleteHero** fitness platform. ### Fitbit & Apple Watch Details about the Fitbit and Apple Watch partnership and integration will be coming soon. ### Racer SignUp Inc. **AthleteHero** and Racer SignUp Inc. partnered to provide race registration and NFT rewards for running and endurance race participants. Racer SignUp Inc. is an established registration platform for running and endurance events. **AthleteHero** and Racer SignUp Inc. are part of the same corporate family. ### LogThatRun.com **AthleteHero** and LogThatRun.com partnered to provide fitness tracking and recording. LogThatRun.com is a well-established running log and tracking website that's been featured in fitness and running magazines and used by several universities and high school teams. **AthleteHero** and LogThatRun.com are part of the same corporate family. # Mobile App The **AthleteHero** mobile app allows users to record and track their fitness, view their wallet balance, and make purchases in the **AthleteHero** marketplace. The mobile app will be available inside the **Apple App Store** and **Google Play Store**. Release date of the app is to be announced. The mobile app will have most of the same features and functions as the web browser (desktop) version of the fitness platform. # Running & Endurance Races **AthleteHero** offers users the ability to participate in races and purchase race registration with **FIT** coin. **AthleteHero** is part of the corporate family with **Racer SignUp Inc.** [Racer SignUp ](http://www.racersignup.com/)provides race registration for running and endurance races. ### **NFT Awards** Participants in select races will be rewarded with an NFT finishers medal. In some participating races, overall winners, age group winners, and others will be rewarded with a one-off NFT for their placement in the race. # Metaverse All holders of the **AthleteHero** genesis NFT collection will gain access to a **metaverse wearable** of their NFT shoe. All wearables are the same unique version of the holder's NFT shoe. Each genesis NFT will only be allowed to download **one (1) free version** of their metaverse wearable. Subsequent downloads of the metaverse wearable will incur a minting fee. This limit of one free download will help establish rarity for the metaverse wearable and generate funds for operational costs of the fitness platform. A metaverse wearable will be available for: * Sandbox * Decentraland # Operational Costs For any organization to last, it's critical that it has funds for operational costs. Therefore, operating costs will need to be provided to maintain and run the **AthleteHero** fitness platform and ecosystem. **AthleteHero** will acquire operational costs through various methods so as not to rely on only one source of funds.
